  • Server data: IP addresses of servers you connect to the platform, server hostnames, and connection metadata. We also collect server performance metrics (CPU, memory, disk, network) reported by the BYOS agent installed on your servers.
  • Usage analytics: We collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, features used, session duration, and interaction patterns. This data helps us improve the platform and prioritize feature development.
  • Communication data: If you contact our support team, we retain the correspondence including email addresses, message content, and any attachments you provide.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery: To provide, maintain, and operate the BYOS Panel platform, including server management, deployments, database management, monitoring, and billing.
  • Improvements: To analyze usage patterns, identify bugs, and improve the user experience. We use aggregated, anonymized data for product development decisions.
  • Communication: To send you service-related notifications (deployment alerts, billing confirmations, security notices), and occasional product updates. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
  • Security: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to your account and connected servers.

Cookies and Tracking

BYOS Panel uses the following tracking technologies:

  • Session cookies: Essential cookies that maintain your authentication state and session preferences. These are strictly necessary for the platform to function.
  • Google Analytics (GA4): We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data on our public website and dashboard. GA4 uses first-party cookies to distinguish unique users and sessions. You can opt out using browser extensions or cookie settings.
  • Sentry: We use Sentry for error tracking and performance monitoring of the BYOS Panel application. Sentry collects error reports, stack traces, and performance data to help us identify and fix issues quickly. No personal data is intentionally sent to Sentry.

Third-Party Services

We share limited information with the following third-party services to operate the platform:

  • PayPal: Payment processing and subscription billing. PayPal receives your billing information necessary to process payments. PayPal's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
  • Sentry: Error tracking and application performance monitoring. Sentry receives error reports and performance metrics from the BYOS Panel application.
  • Google Analytics: Website and application analytics. Google receives anonymized usage data and IP addresses (which are anonymized by GA4 by default).

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All data stored in the BYOS Panel database is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption. Data transmitted between your browser and our servers, and between the BYOS agent and our API, is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher.

Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel through role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication, and audit logging. We conduct regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments to ensure your data remains protected.

Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
  • Server metrics: Monitoring data is retained for 90 days and then automatically purged.
  • Deployment logs: Build and deployment logs are retained for 30 days.
  • Billing records: Financial transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by applicable tax and accounting regulations.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: You can update or correct inaccurate personal information through your account settings or by contacting us.
  • Deletion: You can request deletion of your personal data by deleting your account or contacting our support team.
